Job Purpose: A hospital laundry attendant ensures a clean and sanitized environment by processing soiled linens, uniforms, and other textiles according to infection control protocols. Their work directly supports patient care and infection prevention.
For Appointment to this position, the applicant must have:
Qualifications and Professional Requirements:
a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D+ (plus) or its equivalent qualification.
b) Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Laundry, Housekeeping, Tailoring, Dress Making, Textile Technology from a recognized institution.
c) Proficiency in computer applications.
d) Must fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Cleaning Laundry room;
ii. Inspecting and sorting linen before washing;
iii. Washing linen and press linen;
iv. Ironing and arranging linen;
v. Issuing cleaned linen;
vi. Any other duty as assigned.
