Our department plays a pivotal role in providing pharmaceutical services that align with the Kenya Health Policy (2014-2030) objectives of achieving the highest health standards and ensuring the availability, effectiveness, safety, affordability, and rational use of health products and technologies.
We have assembled a multidisciplinary team of skilled professionals, including clinical pharmacists, pharmacovigilance and epidemiology experts, industrial pharmacists, Pharmacist, and pharmaceutical technologists. Together, we offer personalized pharmaceutical services aimed at optimizing patient care for the best possible outcomes.
Our Primary Functions
Our Pharmacy Department Consists of Five Specialized Units:
Outpatient Pharmacy: This department ensures swift and effective pharmaceutical services, including prescription handling, dispensing, patient counseling, and the preparation of specialized formulations for various conditions.
Inpatient Pharmacy (IP): Our IP team provides patient-centered pharmaceutical care, working closely with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies.
Patient Support Centre (PSC) Pharmacy: Dedicated to HIV/AIDS and TB care and treatment, the PSC Pharmacy offers high-quality, accessible services to clients, both in outpatient and inpatient settings.
Amenity Pharmacy: This unit caters to patients’ special requests and needs, ensuring they receive the utmost care and attention.
Pharmacy Stores: We maintain three pharmacy stores within the hospital to ensure a continuous supply of safe and effective pharmaceuticals, supporting our commitment to quality patient care.
