The department of oncology currently consists of trained clinicians in the fields of hematology (treatment of blood disorders), oncology (treatment of cancers of solid organs), Gynae-Oncology, and palliative care (improvement of the quality of life through symptom management and multi-system holistic care). Programs in survivorship, home health services for cancer patients, and a support group for cancer patients and survivorship.
The current services available for oncology include screening and prevention, surgery, and palliative care. Further divisions of the department include Gynae-Oncology, Haemato-Oncology, and Medical Surgery Oncology.
